DESCRIPTION The height adjusts a few inches. Why is this important. Well, when you sit in an ergonomic chair, your feet should always be on the ground. And your arms should be above the keyboard. Sometimes it helps; being able to easily adjust the desk height can complete the equation. |
TASK
LIGHTS In order to see a computer screen and still work at your workstation, you should have task lights that you can adjust. This one is a very very simple Luceplan Costanza light fixture designed by Paolo Rizzatto in 1986. The body of the light is aluminum; the folding shade is white; it takes a 150 watt bulb. The top comes with grommet/light supports at two locations but you should let us know if you would like to put the light into the right or left hand side of the desk. |
POWER
MANAGEMENT We think it is important to get rid of the birds nest of wires that attach the computer components to each other and to the outlets. Here the solution is two fold: there is a raceway under the desktop which is easily accessible. You can hide the power cords in it to get them out of the way. The other part is to get the cords from the outlet wherever it is to the raceway. Bulo has a removable cover for that; put it where you need it. |
MOBILE
PEDESTAL The storage problem is always a big problem; you can never have enough files, and this pedestal is one of the nicest least prosaic ones we've found. You get one box file and one file drawer; and it matches the rest of the piece. It's also on casters so you can move it around. The outside of the unit is dark grey; the drawer fronts are aluminum laminate, and the unit is lockable. |
