As architects, the search for the perfect bench has always our version of the surfer's quest for the perfect wave. We put leather benches in the lobbies of almost every project we ever did. We always chose leather because it looks good and is virtually maintenance free. For us, we would scrounge all the catalogs we could find and end up designing our own custom ones out of frustration. When we found this, we had to share it with our colleagues.
The top is a thin painted steel plate, the legs are L shaped pieces.
The seat is a black leather cushion inset into the top.
